Christmas in Roseland 2021

The American Rose Center is transformed into a whimsical winter wonderland from the day after Thanksgiving until the weekend before Christmas.

  • Featuring thousands of twinkling lights, dozens of lighted displays, giant Christmas Cards to the Community, nightly entertainment, photos with Santa, and tons of fun for the whole family!

  • Don’t forget to visit the Gift Shop and our concession stand during your visit. Hot chocolate, corn dogs and funnel cake!

  • Christmas in Roseland is a participant in the Holiday Trail of Lights tour!

Please note that Christmas in Roseland is a walking event only and no carts are available.

PRINCESSES IN THE GARDENS The princesses of Never Ending Stories, LLC will be at the admin building in the gardens and visiting with guests: Sunday, Nov. 28,  Dec. 5 & Dec. 12
Every Night – MARSHMALLOW STATION Purchase a ticket for $1 each and roast a jumbo marshmallow in our new roasting station.

Admission rates:

  • $5 per person or $20 per carload.

  • Ages 2 and younger are free.

  • Purchase tickets at the gate with cash. Cards are accepted in our giftshop.

  • Group Rates: • $100 per minibus (Up to 25 people)

  • $200 per charter bus (26+ people);

    • Please call Carol at 318-938-5402 to make a group reservation.

  • Admission good from 5:30PM-9:30PM (Park open 5:30-10PM)

  • Military Discount Available if tickets purchased through Barksdale Air Force Base

Santa In The Garden - Every night until 9PM

  • Tickets are $10 per photo.

  • Social distancing enforced, Santa will not hold children for photos but stand behind your group seated on a bench with a backdrop behind.

COVID-19 INFORMATION: We are following the guidelines set forth in Open Safe SBC. We encourage you to follow all health and safety guidelines when visiting Christmas in Roseland. We require guests to wear a mask and socially distance while walking outside enjoying the lights. We will be wearing masks and gloves. We will have sanitizing stations throughout the gardens. We will be sanitizing all public spaces numerous times every night. We strongly encourage you to purchase your tickets in advance here. We will have numerous entry times every night but purchasing your ticket ahead of time guarantees your entry.

CHRISTMAS CARDS TO THE COMMUNITY

CCC art program began 26 years ago to create a unique opportunity for highlighting the creative talents of local school students. We give participating schools a 4′x8′ piece of plywood to make their masterpiece on. The cards are judged by area artists and business people. Awards are given to First, Second and Third places in Elementary, Middle and High School divisions. A Best of Show is also awarded.

Key Dates:

September 1: Distribution of entry packets to area schools. 

September 17: Deadline for entries to qualify for FREE sheet of plywood. 

September 20-24: Plywood available for pick up at Spell Brother’s Wholesale, 1321 Martin Lane, Bossier City, LA, 8-5.

November 8-12: Caddo Parish School Board Warehouse pick up completed cards and deliver to American Rose Center 

November 12: DROP OFF DEADLINE. Cards received after this date are accepted, but not eligible for judging. Please drop off cards at Administration Building in back of Rose Center. Please sign that you have dropped it off. 

November 15-16: Card judging at the American Rose Center. 

November 18: Card Winner Reception. Please RSVP by Nov. 17, 4 PM.Guests must RSVP to beth@rose.org or call 318-938-5402

November 19: Card winners announced at www.christmasinroseland.org and via email to winners, press release to local and regional press outlets. 

December 17: People’s Choice Winner announced at at www.christmasinroseland.org and via email to winners, press release to local and regional press outlets. 

January 10-14, 2022: Cards may be retrieved at the American Rose Center. Please sign that you have picked up your card.

CHRISTMAS IN ROSELAND IS SEEKING PERFORMERS


Thirty-minute evening performance periods are available for:

  • Musical groups

  • Church choirs

  • Bell choirs

  • Clowns and/or puppet performers

  • Storytellers

  • Dance groups.

Please sign up to volunteer at Christmas in Roseland.

  • Photo Helper: assist photographer in posing guests having photo taken with Santa

  • Entertainment Host: greet entertainers and guests in the Chapel; help with set up and timing

  • CIR Phone Helper: answer phone inquiries about CIR

  • Crosswalk Supervisor: OUTSIDE assist guests crossing roadway to insure safety

  • Train Ticket Helper: OUTSIDE assist Train Engineer in loading passengers, measuring passengers and taking tickets
